COMMON EFFLUENT TREATMENT PLANT(CETP)
A Common Effluent Treatment Plant (CETP) is a centralized wastewater treatment facility that serves multiple industries, usually located in industrial areas. CETP collects, treats, and disposes of the industrial effluent generated by the industries. The purpose of CETP is to reduce the pollution load on the environment by treating the wastewater before it is released into the environment. CETP typically uses physical, chemical, and biological processes to remove pollutants from the effluent. The treated water is then released into the environment, either into water bodies or into the soil. CETP is an important component of the industrial waste management system, as it helps to maintain the quality of the environment and prevent water pollution.
