DESALINATION TREATMENT PLANT

A desalination treatment plant is a facility that removes salt and other minerals from seawater or brackish water to make it safe for human consumption and other uses. The process of desalination involves passing the water through a series of filters and membranes to remove impurities and reduce the salt content. The plant typically uses one of two methods: thermal or reverse osmosis. Thermal desalination uses heat to vaporize the saltwater, which is then condensed back into pure water.

Desalination plants are commonly used in coastal regions where water scarcity is a major issue, but the high energy consumption and cost of the process have made it a controversial solution to water shortage.
